Yesterday at school, something happened that really bothered me. I was doing a writing project for English, and we have this thing due every week called This Week I Read-a project where every week we right about any article we’ve read online and how it interests us. Well, for Modern Global Conflicts (we’re learning about the Rwandan Genocide) Mr. Williams was telling us about how now a days Rwanda isn’t the poor, generic African country ridden with crime and poverty that we think of. I disagreed, however, when I remembered the injustice faced by individuals in African and Middle-Eastern countries in particular in regards to sexual orientation alone. Curious, I wondered what the condition of LGBT rights in Rwanda in particular were. So what did I do but decide to google an article for TWIR? Well, I do, and I click on the first article that comes up, (I’m running out of time) which just happens to be a Wikipedia article, ready to digest and of course cross-reference the information when I get a notification on my computer reading the following:

HhhhnnnnnnnwHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!? Not only does that totally SUCK cuz I can’t finish my project, but IS TOTALLY FRICKIN’ UNFAIR AND INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Banned not even for being LGBT-friendly, but for merely being an LGBT-related EDUCATIONAL EFFING DEVICE?????? If you know me, then you KNOW that there are to things that you should never do lest you want to wake up NOT ABLE TO WAKE UP-
1-Discriminate-against ANY group or groups of people; and
2-CENSOR OR ENABLE CENSORSHIP OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL.
